Last night was Motorcycle First Thursday. Since it was surprisingly warm, there were about twenty motorcycles in the parking lot. I rode my SV650 down. It was funny to me how many riders were wearing Aerostich gear. It looked to about half.
The whole area has lights setup. Looked quite nice.
Even another SV was in the lot when I went to leave hiding behind the Royal Enfield.
It was a good time seeing friends and talking about motorcycles as usual.
I think 20 is a good turn out for December.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there are so many riders wearing Aerostich not only because it is a great quality product, but also a fairly close in proximity (compared to other parts of the country) to their headquarters/store in Deluth.
yes, it's not a bad amount for the time of year for sure. I think there were more Aerostich riders since they have better gear and perhaps more exp for riding in the cold. the typical cruiser rider/sportbike guy usually doesn't wear that amount of protection. at least not the ones in MN.
DeleteGood to see such a good turnout for bike night in December, we probably had about 18 or so attendees for ours last Wednesday night but not all of them rode, maybe half did.
ReplyDeleteI would own Aerostich if I was able to go to the factory and try the gear on, but alas I am not therefore I do not.
yes, it was. many more people drove. it was packed inside. I enjoyed seeing so many helmets on the tables though.
Deletesounds like you need to come visit MN. We have a spare room and extra space in the garage for you and your bike. ;) ;)
That reminds me, wasn't there going to be an Aerostitch review upcoming? (nag, nag, nag)
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was motorcycle rides in December, what a novel idea.
yes, someday i'll write something about the Aerostich. extremely short version, is i like it.
Deletetwo-wheels in december is awesome. jealous of the non-snow-state folks.
