The last few days of riding the SV has been great. The Ural's unique services were required this morning. It is predicted we will get a total of 5-8 inches of snow today.
When I left, there was one inch of ice and slush covered by a very dense two inches or more of snow. I tried 1wd, and got stuck immediately. After I engaged 2wd by locking in the sidecar wheel, I was moving normally again.
I took the scenic way ton work, but there was so much snow falling visibility was very low. The camera lens was coated in only a half mile. The thunder and lightning during the ride added to the atmosphere. The ride home should prove interesting.
You really have had a mixed bag of tricks for weather lately.
ReplyDeletehave fun on the ride home. They don't call it an adventure for nothing.
Indeed. I am ready for spring.
DeleteThunder and lightning with snow! Strange weather you're having. Maybe its that whole global warming thing...
ReplyDeleteThunder snow is fun. I think we had some last year too. Looking at the three inches of snow in my front yard it doesn't feel like global warming. Maybe global goofy weather
DeleteChris:
ReplyDeleteI think some of us are getting envious of having 2WD and being able to ride on days like these. Looks like fun

Riding the Wet Coast
2wd is the one good thing about the Ural.
DeleteThunder snow is so cool! But, it drops a lot of snow in a short time. Bet it was a fun ride home. Here we just had the usual Springtime tornados, hail, and high winds.
ReplyDeleteRide home was boring. The temps came up slightly and the DOT did a nice job of cleaning the roads. They're completely clear again. We'll get the hail and such in a month at this rate
Deleteso, how was the ride home?
ReplyDeleteUneventful. I ended up staying late at work and the roads were clear when I left. We didn't get 5-8. Maybe 3-4 inches total. Snowed another inch last night too. Ready for spring!
