I have never seen my Ural as shiny as it is now since the day it was delivered from the dealer.
A few weeks ago at the ridercoach night, I saw Greg's handiwork on a bike he had detailed. I have been wanting to get the Ural detailed since last year, but di.dn't know a good place to go.
We agreed on a price, and I dropped it off. It took him almost two weeks to get it clean, so I paid some extra. He said it was the biggest detailing challenge he had so far. Specifically, the Boeshield T9 I use for anticorrosion in winter was very difficult to get off.
I am really impressed at how great the bike looks now. It is tempting to sell it and get something else before winter.
My first thought when seeing the photo was I wonder when it's going on the market.
ReplyDeleteSuper tempting...
DeleteIf you sold it, what would you replace it with?
Deletea custom built sidecar or *shudder* a car
Deleteooooh shiny!
ReplyDeleteAs shiny as the day I got it. I should clean it more often!
DeleteLook, there is a Ural hiding under all that muck. I second RichardM's question: Which bike would you have in mind if you were to sell the Ural?
ReplyDeleteThree years of muck! What bike? Vstrom 1000 sidecar probably... something I could get a car snow tire on... or *shudder* an actual car
DeleteMike totally hates the Boeshield T9. It is a bear to get off. I have a couple of places where the Symba still has that wonderful "milky" look :^) Mike does agree though it has worked.
ReplyDeleteThe T9 was a hassle for him, but works great for me!
