Last Thursday was Motorcycle First Thursday, and you couldn’t have asked for better weather. The crowds were a bit slow to arrive. I am going to blame the horrible state of traffic with all the road construction and the upcoming holiday weekend.
I still had fun looking at the motorcycles and chatting with friends.
Totally.
I think I might have featured the above before, I can’t remember. I still like the bike. The upside down Suzuki gets me along with the iridescent paint.
“Built not Bought” I assume a custom frame since the engine clearly has the Suzuki stamp on it.
This helmet is fun. The “void” sticker and the “Pay attention. What?” It made me laugh.
Stretched scooter with a car tire?
A slick looking three-wheeler.
Nice
a cute pink scooter.
An electric Victory. Very cool! Victory bought Brammo earlier this year and is now producing the Empulse TT. I really want to test ride one.
This guy might win for furthest ride to first Thursday this month. I think the guys from Norway I wrote about a few years ago win the overall.
old Indian in decent shape.
truck nuts on a KLR…
two cool looking sidecars.
neat looking Yamaha. I love the wheels.
A dirty Husky; just like a dualsport is supposed to look.
Lastly a first gen SV650. I like the looks of this one. I also want his seat. I bet it is more comfy than my stocker!
Wow, quite the eclectic mix.
ReplyDeleteI forgot your SV had the stock seat, and with all those miles you've put on it too.
about 68,000 on the ODO now. A guy in Indianapolis said I am a hard ass for riding that many miles on a stock seat.
DeleteThat was likely me. I could get about 80 miles on the stock seat before feeling the urge to hunt down the designer and forcing him/her to sit on it.
DeleteSargent is significantly better and I am looking at a used Mayer to decide if it would be better still.
it was you joel! :)
DeleteSargent seat is way better than stock, but it positions the rider differently. Foam is much harder and it is scooped further back. I ended up raising the bars and pulling them back to get comfortable.
DeleteStill can't believe the miles you've put on the stock seat.

DeleteBe sure to post your views when Victory send you an Empulse TT for you to try. Electric bikes, like cars, still seem somewhat limited to commuting or racing. ;-)
ReplyDeletethat would be awesome if they could give me a demo unit for a day or weekend. I suppose I can dream. They do seem a bit purpose specific at this time.
DeleteDefinitely a mixed group ... lots to look at that way!
ReplyDeleteLots to look at indeed!
DeletePlease tell me the problem with the rack is isolated to the side racks. Just picked up set of Givi rails for a top case.
ReplyDeleteit has been the side racks. To be fair several of the failures were due to bad welding. I do think the design is a bit flawed and wish for something more sturdy like on the vstrom or even the newer 2nd gen racks.
